2. 3 Aims of Bridlington Children’s Centres To provide an accessible, integrated early childhood service for all parents –to-be and families with young children in Bridlington and the surrounding areas in partnership with colleagues from Health, Social Care, Education, Job Centre and voluntary agencies. 4. 3 Key Areas of Development over next 12 months To develop the antenatal pathway for all prospective parents in partnership with midwives, health visitors, Scarborough Hospital and the Honeysuckle Centre Promote and encourage families to further raise their own aspirations, assessing the impact over time that the centre is having on outcomes for adults as well as children To develop the whole centre support package provided for vulnerable children and their families, including unborn babies, that maybe at risk of harm. Area of Development Children’s Centre To develop the parenting courses and support groups offered by Children’s Centre staff and partner agencies, especially East Riding College and Adult Education - assessing the impact they are having on families, adapting and revising the offer to continually increase impact. To ensure parents complete Family Links Course in full with staff offering 1-1 sessions if parents are unable to attend a session. (For Payment By Results parents must attend 80%). To assess impact fully completing course has on families as well as using weekly feedback from participants to influence planning in future weeks within confines of the Family Links set format. To develop bespoke parenting courses for – Step parents – Teen parents East Riding Children's Centre, Bridlington

Areas of Development Children’s Centre Antenatal to 5 month pathway To work in partnership with Health Visitors, Midwives and the Honeysuckle Centre, to develop an ante-natal pathway in the Bridlington area, based on the East Riding Children’s Centre Ante-natal Pathway. Areas of Development Sunshine Nursery To provide high quality education and care for all children based on EYFS documentation, ensuring planning and assessment cycle is used to identify future needs and highlight any children who may need additional support in an area of learning. To develop staff expertise to support vulnerable 2 year olds and enhance the role of the key worker To review routines and structures, in order to establish those which best support children’s learning.
