1. Community Based Scorecards  It’s a community based monitoring tool  Hybrid of the techniques of social audit, community monitoring and citizen report cards  It’s an instrument to exact social and public accountability and responsiveness from service providers  It’s a strong instrument for empowerment of community in decision making processes.

Approximately 2,000 participants in approximately 110 meetings and open forums in seven targeted regions About 91% of participants were women and girls.

4. FINDINGS & OUTCOMES Core challenges for local women identified. Strong advocacy tool Empowered and informed voters Valuable experience to NGOs Culture of an interfacing among women, community and local authorities Establishment of a new practice, increasing accountability and effectiveness of the services delivered by the local authorities to the community.
