Ancient Rome By Tom Honey GO!

Introduction The Roman civilisation started in the centre of Italy. It was founded around 10 B.C. It was along the Mediterranean Sea. After it gained men it began to grow until they made and army and grew until they ruled quite a lot of Italy. They later they were known as the Holy Roman Empire. They took over most of Europe, the Middle East and parts of Africa. Around 2000 yr ago they came into Britain.

How they were formed Romulus was the original founder and his brother Remus who helped. They lived by themselves on the bank of the river Tiber until a she-wolf who cared for them for a while until they went on to a shepherd, they lived with him for the rest of their lives. Both of them were the sons of the God Mars. Where they were found with the shepherd was where Rome was born.

What did they give us? They gave us the language Latin which we get most of ours words from. The calendar was invented by Julia Caesar more than 2,000 years ago!!!!! They also invented the legal system for when you commit a crime you break the law. They also gave us- the census, central heating, straight roads, concrete and aqueducts.

THANKS FOR WATCHING!!!!!!
