The geographical locations for Taiga biomes are Asia, Northern Europe and the Northern part of North America. Geographic Locations

Taiga Climate The rainfall of the Taiga biome is about 50 cm. per year. The temperature is very cold and there is a growing season of 50 to 100 days.

A couple plants found in the Taiga biome are evergreen conifers with needle-like leaves, Balsam Fir, Black Spruce, White Spruce and Siberian Spruce. Plants Black Spruce Balsam Fir Siberian Spruce

The way the plants in the Taiga biome survive is by the rainfall that they get. Many trees are evergreen so that plants can photosynthesize right away when temperatures rise. Many trees have needle-like leaves which shape loses less water and sheds snow more easily than broad leaves. Waxy coating on needles prevent evaporation needles are dark in color allowing more solar heat to be absorbed. Many trees have branches that droop downward to help shed excess snow to keep the branches from breaking. Adaptations of the Taiga Biome Plants

The animals found in the Taiga biome are moose, caribou, bear, weasel, lynx, fox, wolf, deer, chipmunk and hawk. Animals

The animals in the Taiga biome survive by finding food to eat and storing it and growing thick furs in the winter. Adaptations of the Taiga Biome

The main seasons in the Taiga are winter and summer. The spring and fall are so short, you hardly know they exist. It is either hot and humid or very cold in the Taiga. The Taiga biome in warmer climate The Taiga biome in colder climate
