Draper Sharon Draper wrote Tears of a Tiger in Hazelwood High Trilogy – Tears of a Tiger – Forged by Fire – Darkness before Dawn In 2015 the American Library Association presented Sharon Draper with the Margaret A. Edwards Award for lifetime achievement in writing for young adults.
