Important People From Each Side of the Civil War Jessie

Robert E. Lee Robert E. Lee was important because he served as the main general for the confederate side of the war.

Ulysses S. Grant Ulysses S. Grant was the main Union general. He was important because of his job.

P.G.T Beauregard He served as another general for the confederate side of the war. He was important to the Confederates.

Abraham Lincoln Abraham Lincoln was important because he was the president. He declared war.

James Longstreet James Longstreet served as an important general for the confederate side of the war.

Harriet Tubman Harriet Tubman was an important lady who used to work for confederate people. She led slaves who worked for the confederate side through the underground railroad to free the slaves.

Clara Barton She served as a battlefield nurse. She took wounded soldiers to try to cure them so they could get back out on the battlefield to fight.
