2 The system will:  Support further professionalization of the field of emergency management  Provide progressive career long training and education curriculum  Remain grounded in the Principles of Emergency Management Emergency Management Training and Education System (EMTES)

3 The system will:  Incorporate fully developed emergency management core competency levels that align to training  Utilize State, local, tribal, territorial, Federal and other subject matter experts to serve as focus group members and instructors to both develop and deploy training Emergency Management Training and Education System (EMTES) (continued)

Certificate Completion Requirements: Program requirements under analysis, including:  Input from Focus Group  Review of similar programs such as Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer program  Review of successful leadership models and concepts from other departments and agencies and with input from the Academic community

Certificate Completion Requirements:  Utilize symposiums, Webinars, and Research to Practice  Provide a lifelong learning process  Apply concept paper developed by the U.S. Naval Post- Graduate School Center for Homeland Defense and Security (CHDS)
