Queen Mary University of London EU-IST e-Infrastructure - GRID 26/7th May 2005 Systems must be are protected from attacks and accidents using approaches that are not signature based - need novel anomaly detectors geared towards invariants and features of the domain Need ways of correlating information from anomaly detectors, IDS etc. Need components where their autonomy adjusts with the context Agent-based critical infrastructure We have developed for telecom and electricity domains: – an agent architecture – new anomaly detectors and – a correlation mechanism that gives a framework to follow many lines of uncertain reasoning and the temporal evolution of attacks Further Development We want to develop further our approach in the telecommunications domain Critical Infrastructure Protection
