What is the purpose of this ad?

The purpose of this ad is to try and get more customers to purchase coke. The ad is used in Australia to try and get their product spread worldwide, therefore, allowing them to make more money.

What is the focal point in this ad?

The focal point in this ad is the large hand holding the coke in front of the picture of Earth. The white letters saying “Friendliest drink on earth” also stand out because of their contrast with the blue background.

What are the appeals?

There is pathos and ethos in this ad. The pathos is where it says “Friendliest drink on earth” because it gives a feeling of connection between you and the drink almost like a friendship, which is emotional. The ethos is where coke added there logo in the large red rectangle.

Who is the audience?

The intended audience is everyone. This ad is to try and get everyone to buy coke so that they can globally distribute their product. They are trying to connect with everyone through this friendly ad so that they will purchase coke.

Background Information This ad was launched by Coca-Cola in 1940 in Australia. Targets people of Australia to buy Coca-Cola
