What is the purpose of this ad?

The purpose of this ad is to motivate the every day athlete to push his/her limits at their own sport. This ad wants the every day athlete to feel as important to their own teams as all the stars do to theirs. This ad pushes the every day athlete to try and become the very best at what he/she does.

What is the focal point of the ad?

The focal point of this ad would have to be the little kid, not a superstar athlete, on the diving platform that seems to be very high in the air above a swimming pool. The little kid is trying to push his limits and become a better swimmer/diver.

What are the appeals?

This ad definitely pulls the emotion out of you. The ad is trying to motivate you to become better at anything you do. It is trying to motivate you to be great.

Who is the intended audience?

The intended audience is definitely the every day athlete. Somebody who goes out and plays a sport and doesn’t absolutely dominate at what they do. If it were a superstar in the ad then it would appeal only to the prestigious athletes trying to make something of their lives with sports.

Background Information The “Find Your Greatness” campaign was launched in the summer of 2012. Centerpiece of the campaign was a video that was launched in late July. Targets every day athletes and wants them to enjoy their accomplishments at their own level.
