DDO MALES OR FEMALES HAVE BETTER REFLEXES?

 THE PURPOSE OF MY INVESTIGATION IS TO SEE IF A MALE OR A FEMALE HAS BETTER REFLEXES. THIS IS

I HYPOTHESIZE THAT A MALE WILL HAVE BETTER REFLEXES THAN A FEMALE BECAUSE A MALE IS FASTER THAN A FEMALE.

 METER STICK  STEP STOOL

MANIPULATED VARIABLE: MALES AND FEMALES RESPONDING VARIABLE: CATCH MEASUREMENT CONSTENT VARIABLES: STEP STOOL, METHOD OF DROPPING, METER STICK

 1. Gather materials.  2. Tester from the group stands on the chair with a meter stick  3. Ask a male test subject to hold their hand under the meter stick.  4. The tester holding the meter stick drops it at a random time.  5. The test subject will grab the stick as soon as possible.  6. Record the response in cm.  7. Repeat steps 1-6 with four more male test subject.  8. Repeat steps 1-7 for four more trials.  9. Find the average male response catch.  10. Repeat steps 1-9 with females.  11. Repeat steps 1-9 for four more trials.  12. Find the average female response catch. 

My hypotheses was correct. Males have better reflexes than females. The males average catch was 17.8 cm. The female average catch was 34.6 cm. If I were to do this again I would use a ruler.
