Sexuality

Heterosexuals Homosexuals Bisexuals Transsexuals Transvestites Hermaphrodites Metro sexual Asexual Intersex

Sex Anatomical sex

Gender Refers to the person’s own self-identity

Gender Dysphoria feeling of unhappiness and incongruity concerning one's physical sex and/or gender role

Heterosexual A person sexually attracted to persons of the opposite sex. Or a person who has sexual relations with the opposite sex. Colloquially known as "straight."

Homosexual A person sexually attracted to persons of the same sex. Homosexuals include males (gays) and females (lesbians).

Bisexual An individual who engages in both heterosexual and homosexual sexual relations.

Transsexual A person who desires or has achieved transsexualism.

Transsexualism A consistently strong desire to change one's anatomical gender.

Transvestites A person who dresses in the clothing of the opposite sex, i.e., a person who cross-dresses

Hermaphrodite An individual who was born with tissue of both sexes (that, both testicular and ovarian tissue).

Metrosexual He's been defined as a straight, sensitive, well- educated, urban dweller who is in touch with his feminine side. He may have a standing appointment for a weekly manicure, and he probably has his hair cared for by a stylist rather than a barber. He loves to shop, he may wear jewelry, and his bathroom counter is most likely filled with male-targeted grooming products, including moisturizers (and perhaps even a little makeup). He may work on his physique at a fitness club (not a gym) and his appearance probably gets him lots of attention.

Asexual Without sexual desire or interest. Someone with seemingly no sexual drive

Intersex a general term used for any form of congenital (inborn) mixed sex anatomy

Intersex Means that a person with an intersex condition has some parts usually associated with males and some parts usually associated with females, or that she or he has some parts that appear ambiguous (like a phallus that looks somewhere between a penis and a clitoris, or a divided scrotum that looks more like labia). It's important to understand that intersex doesn't always involve "ambiguous" or blended external sex anatomy. Sometimes a child or adult who is intersexed can look quite unambiguous sexually, although internally their sex anatomy is mixed

Queer Is empowering when used in the community. Is degrading when used outside the community or in a negative way.

Hate Crime Just like any other crime except there is major psychological damage.

Suicide GLB teens 2x more likely to attempt. GLB teens that have been harassed are 2x as likely to attempt. GLB teens in the past year 4x as likely to need medical attention after an attempt. 8 out of 10 have not made an attempt. 2 out of 3 have not considered it. Most live happy fulfilling lives.
