Volume The amount of space an object takes up

Volume When measuring volume in liquid, Scientist use a unit known as the: mL Unit of measurement in liquids-mL

What is the instrument called? Graduated cylinder is used to make accurate measurements Tool used: graduated cylinder

Always read a the meniscus Meniscus- is the lowest point at which the water curves.

What is the proper way to read at the meniscus? Now it is your time to test: Measure 10 mL of water in a graduated cylinder. Remember: what do you need to be doing???

Volume of Rectangular Solids How can the volume of a shoe box be determined??

Cubic Centimeters L x W x H Length multiplied by Width then multiplied by Height.
