3  liters and milliliters are used to measure liquids  Cubic centimeters are used to measure solids 1cm x 1cm x 1cm = 1 cm³

4 Irregular solid: uneven in shape, position, arrangement

5 Volume of Irregular Solids Volume = Area of base x Height If A = 15cm and h = 10cm, then the volume would be: 15 cm x 10 cm = 150 cm

6 Can also measure volume of an irregular solid by using water displacement.( see worksheet)

7 Conversions using volume: 5 ml = L 10 cm = L 15 L = ml
