Daily Journal How-To Essay Review Nouns SSR Nouns Test Brainstorming **Period 2/3: List 1 Word Search

Start DJs on a new page.  What are 3 activities you enjoy doing that involve multiple materials and includes completing various steps.  Example: I love to cook enchiladas, I enjoy cleaning my house, planning/creating lessons.

 What is a How-To Essay?  Review Steps to Writing a How-To Essay.  Begin thinking of activities to write about mentally.

 Go over Nouns Review and answer any questions.  Give time to study and look over notes, packets, etc. from last week.

 Make sure you are seated and reading when the bell rings and continue to do so for the entire 20 minutes.  Remember this time is worth 10% of your grade!

 Clear desks of everything, except a pencil.  After you are finished, turn the test into the in-box and begin officially brainstorming your How-To Essay.  If time, we will correct tests in class.
