What is BizPaL? BizPaL is an online web service that provides Canadian businesses with customized information on permit and licence requirements for all levels of government. Initiated and developed by Industry Canada in 2003 with three pilot jurisdictions: Whitehorse, Yukon Kamloops, B.C. Halton, Ontario Currently in use in many municipalities across the country.
Governance Partnership is managed by a Steering Committee of cross- jurisdictional partners. Service Alberta and the City of Edmonton have seats on the Steering Committee. Participating provinces are responsible for: soliciting municipality participation and guiding implementation projects paying the software licence fees
