MP3-most common for downloading and storing music. WMA-windows media audio owned by Microsoft. MP4-used in iTunes store and iPods. And lots more audio files. Different files open in different programs including programmes like: windows media player ITunes Real player Winamp

Video files Video files hold videos on computers. There are different types of video files including: MOV-used for the quick time programme made by apple. MPEG-2-standard video file. WAV-mostly used on windows REAL MEDIA-standard real player file. And others. And you can play these files on things like: Windows media player Real player

Graphic files Graphic files hold pictures on computers. There are different types of graphic files including: JPEG-the main file used in most cameras and video recorders GIF-used mostly for animations BMP-graphics file in Microsoft windows. You can use these files on different programs like : ADOBE MEDIA PLAYER PAINT MICRSOFT MEDIA PLAYER

Problems with size Size can be a major problem for transferring data and programmes. Some files are too big for usb sticks as they are over the limit of your usb (i.e. 2gb) Also their is a limit of size when sending as an attachment. Most of the big files are usually videos graphic files and computer programmes

Saving files If you press save on a file it will go straight to my documents so from there you can got to your choice of area. After you choose the area it will save in that area automatically every time you press save. If you click ‘save as’ you can change it to another area.
