The Boston Massacre By: Joy H. http://got.im/3HQ

Did you Know? The Boston Massacre occurred on March 5, 1770, in front of the Old State House. The Boston Massacre was not actually a massacre, but started as a disagreement between a wig maker and a British officer. The officer did not pay for the wig made by Edward Garrick. Paul Revere’s drawings were not exact; he just drew them to advertise what had happened. Crispus Attucks was the first person to be shot and killed in the Boston Massacre. John Adams and Josiah Quincy were the only two people that came to the defense of Captain Preston (British soldier).  No other attorneys in Boston would touch the case for the side of the defense.

Weapons & Victims The Weapons that the Colonists used were the following: snowballs, stones, coal , sticks and whatever other resources they could find. Massacre Victims: Crispus Attucks an African-American sailor Samuel Gray a rope maker James Caldwell a mariner- a sailor or navigator Samuel Maverick was the youngest victim and died a couple days later Patrick Carr a leather breech maker

The Funeral On March 8,1770, the remains of Samuel Gray, Samuel Maverick, James Caldwell, Crispus Attucks, and Patrick Carr were laid to rest. The round heard before each slide was in memory of the five victims of the massacre. More than 10,000 people attended the funeral
