What Is Sperm A sperm is a the male reproductive cell or gamete, the word Sperm meaning "seed" refers to the male reproductive cells. The Sperm is made by the Testicle and is a cell with a nucleous inside of it and when joined with an egg creates a living thing.

Parts Of The Sperm Head The head is the fertility, is the most important part of the sperm because it contains the genetic load (23 chromosomes in the pronucleus). Therefore, it is the part that is inserted into the egg at fertilization. This part of the head ia known as the acrosome. The acrosome has enzymes such as hyaluronidase and acrosin to facilitate penetration. In humans the measure of the sperm head is 5μm (micrometer) in length.

The body The body of the sperm joins the head and tail. In it we find the energy storage of spermatozoa due to the presence of mitochondria that are responsible for providing energy for them to move and get to reach the egg. This energy is obtained through the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate). The tail Is the final part of the sperm and is in charge of providing mobility. In this way and through the movement of the sperm tail or flagellum the sperm is able to move and climb up through the cervix into the fallopian tubes where they can find the egg. Within the fallopian tube sperm move 1-2 cm, for an hour. In humans, the tail of the sperm is 50 microns in length.

Sperm Facts How many sperm does it take to get a woman pregnant? It takes 1 Sperm cell in order for the woman to get pregnant. to perform the process of a birth of another human being. it takes a good long nine months for this process to happen, before we can see the results. Sperm production in the testicles usually begins around years of age and continues throughout life. The number of sperm cells produced varies with the size of the testicles, but averages 85 million sperm per day per testicle, and decreases with age. This means that a single male may produce more than a quadrillion (1,000,000,000,000) sperm cells and in his lifetime between 200 and 600 million sperm cells are normally released in each ejaculation (cum).

Video This video explains the sperm fighting in order to get in the sperm cell and how one enters. After the Sperm enters the Egg cell it tail drops out and that sperm starts to make a human being. How Are Twins Made There are many ways for Twins to be made One Way Multiple eggs are released or there is more than one ovulation. Both (or more) eggs are fertilized and you have fraternal twins. This can happen with or without fertility drugs. One egg is release but splits in two. Identical twins are made. This can happen with or without fertility drugs.
