What did these groups want after the Civil War? Presidents Lincoln/Johnson Radical (northerners) Republicans Southerners (ex confederates) Freed slaves South to join Union, freed slaves Punish the south, equal rights for freed slaves Join the union, get back property, opposed equal treatment for freed slaves Land, work, housing & rights

Reconstruction Post war plan for peace & rebuilding the south Different versions proposed by Lincoln, Johnson & Radicals
