Helping roles and relationships Suggest roles and relationships which involve helping. In pairs, choose two and identify the types of helping involved in each case. Review the outcome as a whole group. You can use your work to complete the homework task.

Homework Complete the work sheet exploring the differences between counselling and other ways of helping. Find a definition of counselling in a text book or on the internet. Suggested sites include MIND, BACP, Simple Psychology or Patient UK (refer to your course handbook)
