Weekly Newsletter for 9/8 – 9/11 This week we will continue building our classroom community as we learn about accepting differences. We will continue exploring numbers to 20. Students will compose and decompose numbers using different math manipulatives. Students will learn about the writing workshop process, how to use materials, and why writers write. They will also learn how to become independent writers. And Social Studies Students will begin their discoveries into sound waves. We will also be learning about Labor Day and why we celebrate this important holiday. Homework Spelling words will start next week! Please read with your child each night for 20 minutes. Please send in BOX TOPS! Wish List Sanitizing Wipes, cardstock, Lego’s or old board games, picture books, hand sanitizer, anything for treasure chest Dates to remember September 8- PTO Meeting- 5:30 September 9- Cookie Dough Money due September 15 – Reading with Grandparents Fun in First This Week’s Featured App: Fun Brain Please remember to sign agenda books every night! Reminder: We would love for you to visit your child during lunch. They may pick one friend to eat with you at the back tables.
