No school 9/17- 9/21 - Fall Break Homework Please start studying sight words and reading nightly. When your child reads, write the name of the book and length of time read on their reading log. GKIDS Readiness We have started testing GKIDS. This test measures what your child knows entering kindergarten. We will send home a report when testing is complete. Reminders Sign your child’s agenda every night. Ask questions if you have them! Please make sure to send in a healthy snack every day!! Ice cream day is on Friday. All ice cream costs $1.00. Classroom Behavior Just as a reminder, we use a chart system for behavior. Your child starts the day on green (5 points). If they choose to break a class rule, they move their clip down (losing 1 point each time). They do have the opportunity to move their clips back up if they turn their behavior around. We have classroom rewards for those students ending the day on orange, pink, or SUPER. At the end of the month, we have fun Friday for students who earned 85% of the total points possible. Please discuss classroom expectations with your child, and celebrate with them when they go above and beyond!
