CIL basics A new planning charge on new development Solely to fund infrastructure Largely replaces Section 106 agreements Applied for each new square metre (net) 25% of income passed directly to Parish Councils with a Neighbourhood Plan

What is Infrastructure? Broad definition in the Planning Act Includes transport schemes, schools, community services, sports and leisure facilities, green infrastructure, flood defences….. etc Projects identified on an Infrastructure Delivery Plan (IDP)
