5 What is a Neighbourhood Plan?
YOUR community-led planning document Guides and shapes the future development, regeneration and conservation of an area Can set out visions, aims, planning policies, proposals for our area Will form one of the ‘suite’ of planning documents, alongside N.P.P.F. and Local Plan Will have statutory (legal) force when finished

6 What will the NP not do? Stop development! We have to accommodate at least the scale of housing identified for Broadclyst in the East Devon Local Plan Stand still! The Neighbourhood Plan will cover an anticipated period of around 15 years once adopted.

14 Getting involved? The Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group meets monthly. Its tasks include: Gathering information on existing services, facilities and policies which affect us Carrying out parish-wide residents survey this summer Talking to the local community about the things that are important Draft policies for consultation Prepare Plan for submission to EDDC
