Propaganda

AUDIENCE: Audience is defined as the people you want to reach.

Propaganda -Propaganda is a concerted set of messages aimed at influencing the opinions or behavior of large numbers of people -presents information that can be very bias in order to influence its audience -the most effective propaganda is often completely truthful

Propaganda -the desired result is a change of the opinions and ideas of the target audience -Propaganda is meant to convince you to act or feel a certain way -If you have bought a product or acted a certain way after seeing an advertisement, then you have been influenced by Propaganda

Propaganda -To understand advertising and Propaganda you have to understand the term bias. - Bias is defined as : Inclination or prejudice for or against one person or group, especially in a way considered to be unfair.

Propaganda - Bias is defined as: Bias is an inclination of temperament or outlook to present or hold a partial perspective and a refusal to even consider the possible merits of alternative points of view. -People may be biased toward or against an individual, a race, a religion, a social class, or a political party, product and service

Propaganda

Two types of advertisement we see: The Testimonial – customer or client explains why they like the product or service. The Endorsement - an endorsement occurs when someone famous in popular culture approves a specific type product or service.
