Kid Wind Design Challenge Team Name: The Puffy Cheese Puffs Designed By: Webster and Mann 5-8 Coaches Name: Pamela Urbanek Childs Address: Clarence Middle School

Our Team WE ARE two SIXTH GRADERS from Clarence middle school. We were grouped together by the luck of the draw! Our team name is the PUFFY CHEESE PUFFS!!!!!!!!

Design Brief Problem Statement: The problem is, there is an energy crisis in the world, and we are trying to produce energy without producing pollution and relying too much on fossil fuels such as coal. Design Statement: We will use the six steps in the design process to create an energy efficient wind turbine that can create as much energy as possible.

Design Brief Constraints: The blades can be no more than 15 inches in length. We can use balsa wood, corrugated plastic, cardboard tube and cereal boxes. We cannot use metal. Deliverables: Cardboard tubes, corrugated plastic, balsa wood or cereal boxes (we have to choose one material to use.) Dowels hot glue and masking tape
