1. Windmill Project
Research wind mills and complete a powerpoint using the quidelines provided.
Research the TSA design criteria for the Tech Day at the Fair Alternative Energy Project.
Both items can be found at
Hand draw two views of your blade design. Also include a view that shows how many total blades you will be using.
Draw your blade design in google sketch-up or Solidworks
Make sure the drawing has the appropriate dimensions

2. Materials Balsa Wood Cardboard Hot Glue Glue Tape Dowel rods
No metal can be used!

3. Build You will be graded on the following:
20% - quality of workmanship
20% - Does the wind mill turn?
20% - Is there a written report?
10% - Is there a chart in the report for performance?
10% - Calculate the efficiency of your blade design
10% - Google Drawing matches the blade design?
10% - How did your windmill perform against the class?

4. Mousetrap Car Written Report
Type in Microsoft Word
Draw the chart from the board with student name, Voltage, mass, height, width, rod length
Calculate the efficiency of your blades
Explain the good and bad aspects of your design
Explain how your windmill performed against your classmates
Evaluate how you and your partner worked as a team
