7 HBCU Library Alliance Vision – The HBCU Library Alliance with be the leader in preserving and promoting the history and missions of the White House – designated Historically Black Colleges and their libraries. Mission – The HBCU Library Alliance is a consortium that promotes collaboration of information professionals and excellence in library leadership and services to enhance member resources and programs.

8 HBCU Library Alliance Strategic Objectives (Describes the Outcomes) –  Goal 1 – Position the Alliance to meet the present and future demands for lifelong learning  Goal 2 - Create an ongoing awareness that communicates the Alliance as the Premier HBCU information resource  Goal 3 – Build and sustain a fiscally sound organization  Goal 4 – Participate in cooperative initiatives involving the digitization of collections to improve access, preservation, and the integrity of cultural materials housed at historically black colleges and universities
