BUDGET INFORMATION SEMINAR IOC Meeting February 12, 2009

1)Attend Budget Seminar -- make-up seminar: Feb. 15, this 8 pm, Alston 304 2)Submit Budget Draft -- Send it to with the “Club Name Budget Draft” -- Due Date: Feb. 20 3)Submit Final Budget Proposal -- Due Date: Mar. 6, title “Club Name Budget Proposal” Allocation Process: Things you need to do

4)Schedule an interview with the Allocation Committee -- interviews will be done between Mar. 23 to Mar. 27 5)Approved Budgets sent back to clubs by Apr. 16 6)Allocation Appeal in Fall semester * Sample Budget Form *

1) Start Early - Schedule meetings with your Exec Board, advisor, and other organizations 2) Evaluate Your Needs 3) Compare Previous Budget 4) Collaborate with other organizations - Set a date! - Discuss the details of the event Tips for your Budget Proposal

5) DETAIL, DETAIL, DETAIL - Itemize supplies for events - Use a price guide 6) Read the Treasurer’s Manual - Due Dates - Allocation Process - Spending Guidelines 8)Ask Questions! - 9)Submit the forms on TIME! (Due Date: Mar. 6)

IMPORTANT RULES PLEASE use the standard budget proposal format. There will be a penalty if the budget proposal is not send in using the standard budget proposal format. If the budget proposal is turned in late, there will be penalties. (Please read Treasurer Manual for more information)
