OCR Nationals ICT – Unit 1 Task 5 Grade A Task Overview. In this task you will design, create and use a spreadsheet appropriate to your work for the French trip. You will need to use appropriate information that you found in Task 2 when completing this task. Your spreadsheet should present the costs involved for at least two of the different trip options. Using the Booklet. This booklet contains everything you will need to complete this task, divided up into 2 sections. 1.RED SECTIONS – Explain exactly WHAT you have to do. 2.GREEN SECTIONS - Give you the space to put your evidence

Task 5 Part A Part A Design and create a spreadsheet to display information regarding the costs of the French trip. Your spreadsheet should include: Transport costs per person. Entry fees for visitor attractions (sightseeing/places of interest) per person. Your spreadsheet should allow you to change the total number of people to work out a total cost. Your spreadsheet must include column headings, row labels, a title, text and numeric data. OCR Nationals ICT – Unit 1 Task 5 Grade A

Task 5 Part B – U1T5S3 – Basic Spreadsheet Show the design of your basic spreadsheet here OCR Nationals ICT – Unit 1 Task 5 Grade A

Task 5 Part B Part B Create appropriate formulas to calculate, for example: Total cost of each option. Cost per person. Cheapest/most expensive cost. 1.You must use at least two different arithmetic operators e.g. Add, subtract, divide and multiply. 2.You must use at least two different functions e.g. SUM, AVERAGE, MAX or MIN. OCR Nationals ICT – Unit 1 Task 5 Grade A

Task 5 Part B1 – U1T5S5 – 1 st Arithmetic operator Using text and images, explain the use of your first arithmetic operator OCR Nationals ICT – Unit 1 Task 5 Grade A

Task 5 Part B2 – U1T5S6 – 2 nd Arithmetic operator Using text and images, explain the use of your second arithmetic operator OCR Nationals ICT – Unit 1 Task 5 Grade A

Task 5 Part A – U1T5S7 – 1 st Function Using text and images, explain the use of your first function OCR Nationals ICT – Unit 1 Task 5 Grade A

Task 5 Part A – U1T5S8 – 2 nd Function Using text and images, explain the use of your second function OCR Nationals ICT – Unit 1 Task 5 Grade A

Task 5 Part C Part C Format your spreadsheet so that the information is displayed effectively. You must, for example, format: 1.Text labels Font. Style. Size. Colour. Alignment. 2.Numbers Decimal places. Percentage. Currency. Date/time. 3.Cells Apply borders. Apply shading. OCR Nationals ICT – Unit 1 Task 5 Grade A

Task 5 Part C1 – U1T5S12 – Formatting cells Using text and images, explain the formatting of cells. OCR Nationals ICT – Unit 1 Task 5 Grade A

Task 5 Part D Part D You must now create a PDF and me each of the following: Your spreadsheet in normal view. Your spreadsheet in formula view. You must make sure that: 1.All of your spreadsheet fits onto a single A4 page by using Page Break Preview. 2.You have added suitable Headers and Footers. 3.You have set the Page margins to 5mm. OCR Nationals ICT – Unit 1 Task 5 Grade A

Task 5 Part D1 – U1T5S14 – Page Break Preview Using text and images, explain how you used Page Break Preview. OCR Nationals ICT – Unit 1 Task 5 Grade A

Task 5 Part D1 – U1T5S16 – Margins to 5mm Using text and images, explain how you set page margins to 5mm. OCR Nationals ICT – Unit 1 Task 5 Grade A

Task 5 Part E Part E Change some numeric data to model the expected outcome for at least two different scenarios, for example you might increase and/or decrease the transport cost to investigate what happens to the final cost or you could investigate what would happen to the total cost of the trip if the entry fees to the attractions were increased and/or decreased. Save each change as a new, separate spreadsheet as you will need them both in the next task. Part F You must now use text boxes to annotate the changes you made to the spreadsheets above, highlighting both the change you made and the resulting changes to the total costs. Create a PDF of each spreadsheet complete with the notes to show the changes you made and the results. Part G You must now explain the results you have obtained as a result of the modelling you carried out in part E. OCR Nationals ICT – Unit 1 Task 5 Grade A
