The yellow slides contain information on what you will need to do to achieve a pass. They are all compulsory ( have to do ) elements. The blue slide contain information on how to achieve merit and distinction grades. These slides are not compulsory (discuss these with your teacher). The information within the slides is for instruction only and can not be used as evidence, it must be deleted and replaced with your own work. The only thing that will remain the same on the slides is the title which contains important assessment references.

If you are not sure try using the help information on the main toolbar of most applications. Teachers can give demonstrations of some application features to the class. (So pay attention!). The difference between Merit and Distinction is often quality of explanation do not be afraid to add more slides if you want to put in more evidence to achieve these grades. Use the Data supplied and input it into a spreadsheet. Your teacher should show you how to do Cell References and Copying to make it easier to do the formulas. Show a full page screenshot of your spreadsheet here. To do this, delete this text and then go to Format / Slide Layout and choose this content layer.

When you have entered the data. Add formulas to total up the main data columns. =SUM(A2:A3) Add a formula to find the average of a column. =AVERAGE(A1:A6) Show your formulas by going to Tools/Options and then the View tab should have a check box for Formulas. All the formatting features can be done from here, see below. Use shading for your Headers and labels. Change the font size and Style Put borders around the main data. Centre your headings. Use the Drawing menu Autoshapes Call outs to show your answers. Answer the first two questions in the case study and show the before and after screenshots here.

You should print out your spreadsheet so that it fits on one page. Show how you do this with a screenshot and brief explanation.

It will contain a title and appropriate row/column headings. Your teacher should show you how to do Cell References, Copying and Naming to make the additional tasks easier with the formulas. Show a full screen print of your wages spreadsheet finished. Make sure you include a title.

Show screenshots of formatting your wages spreadsheet include the formatting box. You should have used every tab in some way. Describe at least three formatting options that you used. Delete me!

Produce a print screen of the formulas in the wages spreadsheet. List the different functions used here.

Formula printouts will be included Show how you selected page orientation and how you selected the number of pages your sheet would fit too. On your second screenshot show the sheet in print preview. You will be told by your teacher how they want you to proceed with actual printing.
