The IB Diploma Program  Students need to earn a minimum of 24 out of 45 points to earn the IB Diploma.  Students can earn a maximum of 7 points for every IB class they take.  The passing score for IB Psychology is 4 out of 7.  The IB Psychology class grade (A, B, C, D, F) is separate from the IB Psychology points (1- 7).

IB Psychology Points  The External Assessments (essay based tests in the May of the student’s 2 nd year) are responsible for 75-80% of IB Psychology points. This is an exam made and marked by outsiders.  The Internal Assessment (simple experiment report due the student’s 2 nd year) are responsible for 20-25% of IB Psychology points. This is an experimental project that students conduct that is graded by me.

IB Psychology Contract   1. All absences on a test day must be excused BEFOREHAND for there to be a make up test.   2. YOU are responsible for asking for and turning all missing work when absent. The amount of time you get to make up the work is equal to the day(s) you were absent.   3. HARD COPIES of work need to be turned in. s with work attached will only be accepted if you had been given permission before the due date.   4. Homework is due the moment it’s asked for in class. Work that’s “ready” but needs to be printed, or submitted at the END of class or later is counted as late work.   5. Late work is given half credit. Late work won’t be accepted after it’s been graded and returned back to the rest of the class.
