snakes By Haley and Ellee

There are about 3000 snakes species in the world and about 375 are venomous. An anaconda can grow up to 38 feet.

Snakes use their tongue to smell. We think the black mamba is considered the most venomous snake in the world.

The black mamba is the largest most venomous snake in Africa reaching up to 14 feet. They are also the fastest slithering snake in the world, going up to 12.5 miles per hour.

Black mambas get their name not from their skin color which tends to be olive to gray, but rather from the blue black color from inside their mouth which they display when threatened.

Some sea snakes can breath through their skin, allowing them to stay under water for a long period of time.

There are about 700 different kinds of venomous snakes. The king cobra is the longest snake in the world with the ability to inject venom.

Isn’t he cute

Cute but deadly

Pretty scales
