2 The Anatomy of a snake Snakes have scales. Snakes have no legs and no hands. Snakes have 4 body parts. They have a tongue, a body, 2 eyes and 2 fangs. Their colors are red, green, yellow and brown.

3 The Habitat of a snake Snakes live in grass and forests. Snakes also live in deserts and water. Snakes are found all over the world.

4 The life cycle of a snake
The mother snake lays eggs. The babies hatch out of the eggs. Snakes can have 12 babies at one time. Snakes lose their old skin. Snakes can live up to 40 years.

5 Interesting facts about snakes
Snakes eat eggs, mice, monkeys, frogs and small deer. One of a snake’s enemies is an eagle. Snakes can grow to 8 feet long. There are 2,700 different kinds of snakes. One of the kinds of snakes is an Anaconda.
