Muscular System Muscular System- is an organ system consisting of skeletal muscle. It move the body and circulates blood throughout the body There are four type of muscles: Skeletal muscles, cardiac or heart muscle, and smooth muscle. Muscles provide strength, balance, posture, movement and heat for the body to keep warm.

Cardiac muscles Cardiac muscle- the muscle tissue of the heart  Heart muscles are distinct from skeletal muscles because the muscle fibers are connected to each other. Furthermore, just as with smooth muscles, they are not controlling themselves. Heart muscles are controlled by the sinus mode influenced the autonomic nervous system.  Unlike other types of muscle, cardiac muscle never gets tired. It work automatically without ever pausing to rest.

Smooth muscle  Smooth muscle- is found in the walls of hollow organs like your intestines and stomach  Smooth muscles are also found in the bladder.  When someone goes to the bathroom, they contract, which pushes urine out of the bladder.

Skeletal muscles Skeletal Muscle- produces movement, maintains posture, stabilises joints and generates heat. Skeletal muscle tissue is the most common thought of as muscle. Skeletal muscle are soft and fragile. Each organ or muscle consists of skeletal muscle tissue, connective tissue, nerve tissue, and blood or vascular tissue.

Muscular system quiz  1. TRUE OR FALSE Each muscle has two endings that attach to the other structures (such as bone or soft tissue) and they are categorized according to their role in movement.  2. TRUE OR FALSE Muscles shorten during manual control, causing soft tissue and bony structures to move. 3. TRUE OR FALSE In some bones, moving point could be at either end.  4. TRUE OR FALSE These muscles work with the TMJ to accomplish movement of the mandible

Answer to the Muscular quiz  1.TRUE  2.TRUE  3.TRUE  4.TRUE
