Movement
Support the body
Helps stabilize our joints
Maintain our posture and generate heat during an activity
Movement can be controlled by skeletal muscles or by smooth muscles
We have more then 600 muscles

Connective tissue: keep bones held together
Skeletal tissue: is connected to skeleton by bands or directly
Skeletal muscle: works in pairs, works together to bend a joint
Smooth muscle: makes up most of the walls
Cardiac muscles: makes heart wall
