In February of 2011, Allen became the all-time leader of three pointers made, passing Reggie Miller’s record of 2,560. Allen continues to play for the Boston Celtics, being included in the group of three players known as the “Big Three”. The others in this trio are Allen’s teammates Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett.

Bio Allen was born in the Castle Air Force Base near Merced, California, on July 20, In his early years, Allen was a military child, although he was always surrounded by sports. Allen’s family made a home in South Carolina, where Allen would lead his high school team, the University of Connecticut Huskies, to the state championship. In 1996, Allen entered the NBA draft, hoping to be drafted by the Boston Celtics as the No. 6 pick.

However, Allen was picked up by the Minnesota Timberwolves as No. 5. After playing with the Timberwolves, Allen went to the Milwaukee Bucks in a “draft-day” trade. Little did fans know that Allen would become a basketball superstar while playing with the Bucks. He grew to become one of the NBA’s best shooting guards. During the 2007 offseason, the Sonics shipped Allen and his teammate, Glen Davis, to the Boston Celtics. Celtics fans were pumped to see sharpshooter Allen join Paul Pierce, and, soon, Kevin Garnett. Allen’s ability to shoot from the three point line gave Garnett and Pierce plenty of space to do their magic.
