Michael Jordan I chose to present a great basketball player : Michael Jordan. I chose him because I think this famous player is  the emblem of basketball in America.

His career He began his career when he joined the University of North Carolina team with Tar Heels, & he led the team to victory in the 1982 championships. In 1984 he finally returned home to the NBA Chicago Bulls.  After three years he established an NBA record that still remains unbeaten, when he scored 63 points in one game. During the 1986 season he became the only player to score over 3,000 points in a single season (about 37 points per game).

1984 to 1993  From 1984 to 1993 he led his team to victory. After nine years with the Bulls he retired from playing baseball. However, he returned to the Bulls in 1994 for 4 seasons.  During these four seasons he  won three titles including best player of the All-Star game.

His second retirement But after four years of  glory Michael went off on retirement from basketball for a second time. But again this retirement was to be short lived as he became co-owner of the Washington Wizards. He decided to return to the team in 2001 for 2 seasons. He chose to donate his salary at the wizards to the families of the victims of the September 11 attack, 2001.

His final retirement In 2003 he finally retired from the sport, but when he retired he did not break away completely from the sport because a superbike club called Michael Jordan Motorsports was started.
