2. Research Michael Jordan arguably could be the best basketball player ever. Michael Jordan was born on February 17, 1963 in Brooklyn, New York. At the beginning of his high school career he was cut from the Varsity basketball team as a sophomore he was to short at 5’11 to play at that level. He grew four inches the following summer and trained hard and made the team the following season. He averaged 20 points per game and his senior year he was selected to go to the McDonalds all American team where he had a triple double in the game.

3. Jordan got a scholarship to go and play at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As a freshman he averaged 13.4 points a game and was named the ACC player of the year. He made the game winning shot at the 1982 championship game against Georgetown. Jordan entered the NBA draft his 3 rd year at North Carolina a year before he was scheduled to graduate but he later went back to get his degree. He was selected third overall by the Chicago Bulls.

In his second year of playing basketball he broke his foot and missed most of the season but came back just in time for the playoffs where he made an NBA record that still today hasn’t been broken. He scored 63 points in the second game of the playoffs but the Bulls ended up losing to the Boston Celtics. During his 1987-88 Season Jordan won the leagues MVP award which would be the first of five. The bulls didn’t win the championship that year but in two years they would. Jordan won his second league MVP award in 1990- 91 season and they won the National Championship against the LA Lakers. Jordan won the Finals MVP. The bulls won the Championship the next two years becoming the only team in NBA history to have a 3Peat.
