2. Synopsis
Born Earvin Johnson Jr. on August 14, 1959, in Lansing, Michigan, Magic Johnson dominated the court as one of America's best basketball players for 12 years. He retired from the LA Lakers in 1991 after revealing that he had tested positive for HIV, the virus that causes AIDS.

3. Early life
Irving “Magic” Johnson was born on August 14, 1959, in Lansing Michigan. Earvin Jr. worked at several jobs, including helping his father, but his first love was basketball. In 1977 Johnson and his Everett High School team won the state championship. His passing and ball-handling skills won him the nickname "Magic." After high school Magic went on to continue his basketball at Michigan State University. Magic killed the college level in his second year at Michigan State he won the college national championship defeating Indiana State who also had their own star in Larry Bird who would eventually be an NBA super star, Magic scored twenty-four points and named the MVP.

4. Accomplishments
In 1979 Magic was selected 1st round 1st pick of the NBA draft to the Los Angeles Lakers. He became the first rookie to start in a NBA All-Star game, that same year Magic lead the Lakers to a NBA championship defeating the Philadelphia 76ers, and Johnson became the youngest player ever to be named playoff MVP. Standing at six feet nine Inches magic changed the game being a big man that could do things that only people half his size could do. the Lakers won another championship, with Johnson again winning the playoff MVP award. In 1985 the Lakers won their third NBA title, defeating Bird and the Boston Celtics. The Lakers also won championships in 1987 and 1988.

5. THE DISCOVERY
Magic Johnson career came to an end on November 1991, during a physical examination, Johnson found out that he was a carrier of the HIV virus, which causes AIDS. Johnson admitted that his lifestyle as a sports celebrity included many sexual encounters. Johnson retired and began to be the voice of AIDS

6. TODAY
Magic is now a successful business man he own a strain of movie theatres in the mostly black sections of Los Angeles in 1997 Johnson expanded his movies chains by adding one in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2016 magic we hired as the general manger of his former team the Lakers and he is still treating his aids and doing good,

7. Global Impact
Magic Changed the game for many people it gave them the confidence to play the guard position at his height he also made athletes re-think there decision to have raw sex. And be more careful
