Spanish American Society Own the land and control the Government. Working class – soldiers, Blacksmiths, bakers etc... Worked on plantations and In gold and silver mines.

AFRICANS COME TO AMERICA Catholic priests disliked the Treatment of the Native Am They fought to get Spain to pass laws to protect them and encouraged the gov’t to use African slaves on plantations and in the mines because they could handle the work more easily.
