 At least once per semester for course selection  Early November for Spring; Early April for Summer and Fall  A second visit each semester to check in on progress  As needed for  Career decision making and guidance  Considering withdrawing from class  Wanting to take classes at another institution  Academic difficulties  Personal difficulties  Information about university policies or resources WHEN TO SEE YOUR ADVISOR

 Think about what your goals are for the meeting.  Bring a list of questions you may have- advisors don’t mind.  If you have any AP/dual enrollment/transfer credit- remind your advisor. Bring copies of transcripts.  Read the sections in the catalog about your major (catalog is available on-line). The more informed you are, the better your advisor will be able to assist you.  Be honest in letting your advisor know how things are progressing. Advisors can only assist you if they know what issues you may be facing. PREPARING TO SEE YOUR ADVISOR

Additional fees may apply to R50 classes. WHEN REGISTERING
