Speed-Mount™ Switch Boxes Cooper Crouse-Hinds nonmetallic Speed- Mount™ Switchboxes are used: In branch circuit wiring as a splice point To mount wiring devices such as switches, receptacles, GFCI’s, dimmers etc. To provide mechanical protection for wiring systems and electrical devices Applications

Speed-Mount™ Switch Boxes Product Features Available for use with wood or metal stud Quick entry feature on single and multi gang boxes offers labor savings, no need to break out knockouts – simply push the nonmetallic cable into the box Unique configuration of this quick entry feature on single gang boxes provides a self-feeding feature that eliminates the need to reach inside the box to pull the wire out.

Speed-Mount™ Switch Boxes Features Integral labor saving clamping feature on two, three & four gang boxes. The multiple gang box unique quick entry serves as a clamp, eliminates the need to mechanically secure the cable inside box no separate clamps or screws to install or tighten.

Speed-Mount™ Switch Boxes Speed-Mount™ Switchboxes offer simple, labor saving press installation of devices. The device is attached by simply pressing the device mounting screw into the device hole and turning the screw to lock it in place. The spring steel clip locks the screw securely in place. Re-Usable: To remove the device, simply unthread in a traditional manner Features Attach device by pressing mounting screw into device hole Turn screw to lock in place

Speed-Mount™ Switch Boxes Installation Information For Wood Studs: Speed-Mount™ switchboxes are supplied with nails for mounting to wood studs. Two molded-in locator ribs help align the box on the stud keeping the box parallel to the stud and help insure correct mounting depth for a smooth professional appearance in the sheet rock. Two, three and four gang boxes also have, on the non- mounting side of the box, integral molded dry wall stops to ensure the box remains parallel to the dry wall for smooth professional appearance.

Speed-Mount™ Switch Boxes For Steel Studs: Speed-Mount™ switchboxes designed for use with steel studs have an integral molded face bracket for attachment to steel studs. Face bracket screw holes are countersunk to ensure a flush screw installation and eliminate the potential for sheet rock bulge. Single, two, three and four gang steel stud boxes also have integral dry wall stops on the non-mounting side of the box to ensure the box remains parallel to the dry wall for smooth professional appearance.

Speed-Mount™ ™ Switch Boxes The Far Side Support is designed for use with Speed-Mount™ Switch Boxes used with either wood or metal studs to provide a quick easy economical way for far side support Multi-gang Speed-Mount™ boxes have a molded-in-hole in the back for attaching the TPFSS. The TPFSS is designed for use with steel studs with a depth of 3-5/8”. For use with 2x4 wood studs, simply break off the tip at the notch of the TPFSS using a pair of pliers. TPFSS
