GTS EXPERIENCE, WHAT WE OFFER? The GTS centre experience covers a different areas such as analytical chemistry, water control and treatment, soil sciences, environmental engineering, risk assessment, remediation, and policy making. The centre GTS has published more than 180 peer review research papers in international journals and has 7 patents. The GTS centre has participated and coordinated 5 different EU research projects related to environmental programs, i.e, coordinator of the FP5 project denominated DIMDESMOTOM (EVK from 2000 to 2003) and partner leader at SENSPOL (EVK4-CT from 2001 to 2004).

GTS EXPERIENCE, WHAT WE OFFER? Quality control of potable water, characterization of toxic waste including the speciation of pollutants. Direct and indirect methodologies (i.e, coupled chromatographic-spectroscopic techniques and direct XFAS Synchrotron based techniques). Remediation, treatment and recovery technologies for the long-term water quality and sustainable reuse of water proceeding from textile and mining industry. Solvent extraction, ion exchange, reverse osmosis, membrane processes, etc…. Transformation of mine acidic waters

WHAT WE LOOKING FOR? INTEREST TO JOIN CONSORTIA ON Activity 6.3 Environmental technologies Sub-Activity Environmental technologies for observation, simulation, prevention, mitigation, adaptation, remediation and restoration of the natural and man-made environment Area Water ENV Adaptation of water supply and sanitation systems to cope with climate change Future join call with Theme 4. Nanosciences, Nanotechnologies, Materials and New Production Technologies on "use, recycling and treatment of nanotechnology-based products" foreseen to be published in November 2008.
