Carbohydrates  Are a class of foods that includes sugars and starches  There are 3 types of carbohydrates : starch, sugar, and fibre  Carbohydrates contain carbon, oxygen and hydrogen  The nutrition label includes all types of carbohydrates  The only way to get rid of carbs is exercising

Carbohydrates in Foods  Foods with lots of carbs: - breads, pasta, potatoes, rice, and cereals

Fats Make energy and cushion your body Foods with Fats: -Cheese, butter, bacon, potato chips and ice cream Fat is made by the body when there too many calories

Fats  The 2 types of fats : - Saturated, Unsaturated - Saturated, Unsaturated  Saturated: fats from animal products  Unsaturated: fat derived from plants (trans fat)
