Gamified Classroom Quizzes!

What is Quizizz? A fun game to conduct quick assessments with your class.

What’s different about Quizizz? Student-paced Realtime Feedback Question Library BYOD

Playing a Quizizz

Step 1: Search Search for quizzes using relevant keywords, or the username of the creator. 2 Sorting Options 1.Relevance (default): This sorts the quizzes by how closely they match your keywords. 2.Recency: This sorts the quizzes (that match your keywords) by how recently they were created. Bonus Option: Include duplicates? Include duplicate versions of quizzes in the list of results. (Useful if you like a quiz, and want to see variations of it.)

Playing a Quizizz Step 2: Customize 5 Customization Options 1.Jumble Order: Every student gets the questions in a different order. 2.Show Leaderboard: Turn this OFF to hide the leaderboard on student devices. 3.Show Answers: The list of questions and correct answers will be shown for students to review at the end (if ON). 4.Question Timer: If this is turned OFF, students will get 1000 points for correct, and 0 for wrong. If ON, students get 600 points for correct + up to 400 time bonus, 0 for wrong. 5.Show memes: Turn this off if you don’t want to show the funny pictures after each question.

Playing a Quizizz Step 3: Share Code Once you click PROCEED on the customization page, your 5 digit GAME CODE is shown on the screen. Ask your students to open and 1.Enter the GAME CODE 2.Enter their name/nickname TEACHER’S SCREENSTUDENT’S SCREEN

Playing a Quizizz Step 4: GO!!! Student’s names will populate as soon as they join. Once you’re ready, click “START GAME” to begin your Quizizz! TIP 1: Click on a student’s name/icon to kick them out of the game if required. TIP 2: Students can join even after the quiz begins, so can get started even if a few students are still logging in.

Playing a Quizizz Step 5: Realtime Feedback You will see realtime updates of student-level progress, as well as the number of right/wrong answers on a question-level. Tip 1: The game automatically ends once all the students have completed all the questions. Tip 2: Use the student progress graph to see how much each student has left to do. Tip 3: You can also end the game any time by clicking “End Game”.

Playing a Quizizz Step 6: View/Save Data Once the quiz ends, you will see a detailed report of the responses by each student. You can also download a more detailed Excel report. Tip 1: Make sure to click “Save Data” on this screen if you want to save a copy of the results. Currently there is no way to retrieve this data after you close the page (but this feature is coming soon).
