2 Start with loading the picture Locate your camera’s USB cable –it looks something like this:

3 Insert the USB cable into the computer »Look for the universal USB symbol

4 Windows will detect the connection. Click Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard, and then click OK.

5 –Please note that Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard is still the right choice if you upload a picture using a removable disk such as a flash drive

6 When the Scanner and Camera Wizard appears, click Next. All of the pictures should display on the Choose Pictures to Copy page. –If there is a picture you do not want to download, just clear the check box in the thumbnail’s top right corner

7 Type a name for the group of pictures Picture Name and Destination page Click Browse, and select a folder in which to save your pictures. Tip: Create a new folder for each group of pictures you download, it makes it easier to organize

8 Before you proceed: If you want to erase the images from the camera, select the Delete pictures from my device after copying them check box, and then click Next. –If you want to keep your pictures, make sure the box is unchecked. The Scanner and Camera Wizard will copy the pictures from your camera to the folder you specified

9 Congratulations the pictures are uploaded! Once your photos are saved in a folder the final page of the wizard page will show up »When it does, click FINISH If you connected your camera to your computer using a USB cable, you may disconnect your camera at this point

10 Beginning the editing process Go to my pictures and open up the folder with the pictures you want to edit

11 Opening an Image in Picture Manager Once opened right click the image

12 A box will pop up- mouse down to the Open With option –Another box will appear: Choose Microsoft Picture Manager

13 Next Step: If a box pops up asking what format picture you want to keep the image as; for the most part the default is fine »If this option does not come up and you need to convert your image, go up to the tool bar and click on File Types

14 What you do next depends on what you want to do with your picture: –Go to the tool bar and click Edit Pictures… –You can also access the editor by right clicking

15 Actually Editing: Do whatever you need to do for your picture Just go to the side tool bar that appeared and chose whatever tool you want to use: »For the most part the tools are self explanatory Example- Brightness and contrast : Allows you to adjust the difference between light and dark tones. You can use this feature to correct pictures that appear too light or too dark.

16 When you’re done Be Sure to Save your Edit! –Save your new picture using “save as” and a new name unless you want to save over your original picture Good luck!
