Cardiff School of Nursing and Midwifery Studies Ysgol Astudiaethau Nyrsio a Bydwreigiaeth Caerdydd PBL Triggers Community and Specialist Mental Health Nursing Practice modules: Year 3 Student is presented with a series of four linked triggers re Peters story. These seek to replicate the real and complex world of practice. With guidance from lecturers, students are required to work in small groups, formulating their considered responses to each trigger. Findings are presented back by student PBL groups to the whole group. Each PBL cycle spans a 2 week period The process of how students work together is as important as what they do together - opportunity to develop transferable team working, decision-making and self awareness skills.
