Evacuees Evacuees left there mums if they were older then 5. Most children was exited to go but others were not. if there mums didn’t want them to go they didn’t have to When evacuees got of the train they didn’t no who they were going two but most was quiet also the exited ones were quiet! When they were at the train station it was all crowded and when they was on there way a couple of children were sent to each village

posters Posters were hanged up everywhere to warn people about the war. Posters were very important during the war for everyone they were no end of them hanged up.

Blackout People taped there windows when the blackout started. They turned there lights of it all started in they made everything pitch black while they were in there houses.

The Blitz 2 thousand people were killed in London's first night of the Blitz. They gave out Mickey mouse gas masks for children and black ones for adults. They did it because The Germans sometimes dropped Gas bombs that could make you very poorly.

Jobs While men were at war women did most Jobs like farming and making guns and weapons for the men in the war. It was very important that we had thing like land girls because they did most things that men would do.

Train stations When children got of the train everything was crowded. They were millions of children there. When children were on the train Most journeys took hours.

Battles We were fighting 3 Country’s Japan, Italy and Germany we also had 22 allies The war started in 1939 The Germans started it by invading Poland because they wanted to Rule it.

The bombs. Bombs in world war two were very clever. We had the bouncing bomb and lots of others. There was a bomb that made a noise and when it stopped that was the danger so you would quickly go to your air raid shelter. And also a bomb that rushed across the air so quickly you could not no it was there.

air-raid shelters In London there was a Morison shelter for inside and a Anderson shelter for outside it was disgusting in the Anderson shelter it was very small to only possible to fit a couple people on each side. The Morison shelter was also small but it had lots of protection from the metal that was for the walls.

Dog fights. Dog fights were plane fighting in the air. The Germans were not on the ground they were mostly in air. The planes looked different then each other so you could tell what plane they were.

Flags The flags were important to everyone so you could tell if you had to worry or not. They hanged things up so you new what witch was witch.

Rationing Rationing was they had a book with lots of stamps witch means that you could have a certain amount of food each week. Rationing was ending in 1954 and started in 1939 But they rationed most food but not all so Water was not because it was special and you really needed it.
